What's On in Gulf Breeze This Fall, From Taste of Gulf Breeze to the Jolly Market

October 15, 2026

Most dated events on the Gulf Breeze calendar between now and mid-December lead back to one address. The Gulf Breeze Community Center at 800 Shoreline Drive hosts the Chamber's biggest food night in October and the city's biggest holiday market in December. The city's Parks and Recreation department organizes several of the weekends in between. One December tradition still has no date, though. The Gulf Breeze Christmas Parade was postponed last December and remains unscheduled as of Oct. 10.

Here is how the season lines up, what changed along Gulf Breeze Parkway this year, and which waterfront park work is still underway.

Everything in this table was confirmed on organizer pages for 2026 dates.

October runs on Shoreline Drive

The season starts with Breeze-O-Ween, which the city's Parks & Recreation department lists for Oct. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Gulf Breeze News places the family event at the Gulf Breeze Community Recreation Center.

Six days later, the Gulf Breeze Zoo holds Boo at the Zoo on Oct. 17. The day includes a trick-or-treat trail, treats, animal encounters and bounce houses. Families who go to both get one city-run event and one at the zoo within the same week.

The adult event of the month is the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce's 12th Annual Taste of Gulf Breeze. It runs Friday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze Community Center. The Chamber says more than 50 local vendors will be there, including restaurants, food trucks, caterers and bars, and tastings are unlimited with a ticket. It's 21 and up, and everyone's ID gets checked at the door.

Guests also get to vote. Each person receives three color-coded chips at check-in and uses them to pick a favorite appetizer, beverage and dessert for the Golden Spatula Awards. With more than 50 booths and only three votes, most people end up comparing vendors as they go, which makes it one of the better nights of the year to try the area's restaurants back to back.

November is quieter, so the weekly standbys carry it

After Halloween, the dated calendar thins out. The main November weekend event is Coastline Fall Fest on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City of Gulf Breeze Parks and Recreation, 398 S Sunset Blvd. The Chamber listing describes it as a free family festival and points to Coastline's website and email for questions.

On weeknights, the Chamber calendar lists two recurring events at American Legion Post 378 on Gulf Breeze Parkway:

The two listings show different street numbers on the Parkway, so check with the post before your first visit.

The zoo closes November out. On Nov. 27, the Friday after Thanksgiving, the Gulf Breeze Zoo holds its Toys for Tots day. Bring a new, unwrapped toy worth $10 or more and admission is half price. According to the zoo's hours page, it's open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Oct. 31 through Dec. 31, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. That makes the 27th the first day after the holiday closure, and the toy drive brings the ticket price down.

Dec. 5 is set; the parade date is not

The city's Jolly Market is on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Gulf Breeze Parks and Recreation Community Center. The city expects more than 100 vendors and invites local businesses, artists and organizations to sell homemade and festival items. Vendor registration opens Oct. 12, so if you make wreaths, ornaments or baked goods, you have about eight weeks of lead time from that date.

The Christmas Parade is less settled. In December 2025, Gulf Breeze News reported that organizer Jill Teston and Gulf Breeze Police Chief Rick Hawthorne decided to "postpone" the parade planned for Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, until 2026 because of the weather forecast. The same report credits Teston with bringing the parade back after it had been on hold since 2020.

As of Oct. 10, 2026, we haven't found a published date, time or route for this year's parade. The Chamber calendar, the city's Parks & Recreation site and local coverage don't list one yet. Older city pages from the 2020 drive-through version still appear in search results, but those dates and routes don't apply this year. Watch Gulf Breeze News and the Parks & Recreation site for the announcement. If the parade returns to the first or second Saturday of December, it would land the same weekend as the Jolly Market or the next one.

What changed on Gulf Breeze Parkway in 2026

Taste of Gulf Breeze brings dozens of local food and drink businesses into one room. The Parkway itself has changed this year, too:

  1. Gulf Breeze Shop closed. The café at 203 Gulf Breeze Parkway announced it would close permanently after its last day of business on Jan. 23, 2026, according to the Pensacola News Journal.
  2. Bear Fruit Bowls and Coffee moved into that space. The PNJ reported in February that Bear Fruit planned its fifth location in the former Gulf Breeze Shop space and expected it to open in March. An earlier PNJ roundup described it as the brand's largest sit-down café so far, next to Innerlight Surf & Skate Shop. Bear Fruit's locations page now lists the Gulf Breeze shop at 203-B Gulf Breeze Parkway with daily hours and online ordering.
  3. Sal's Pizza Cafe replaced Seneca's Deli. The PNJ reported Sal's open at 3707 Gulf Breeze Parkway in January. The menu centers on stone-oven pizza, plus salads and sandwiches.

Both new spots opened in long-running locations, not new buildings. If you used to go to Gulf Breeze Shop or Seneca's, the address is the same but the menu is different.

The waterfront work still in progress

The fall calendar is mostly indoors, and some of the city's outdoor waterfront access is still under construction. According to a City of Gulf Breeze project update dated Sept. 21, 2026, the Woodland Park Boating & Fishing Improvements were about 25% complete.

A $1.2 million Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission grant funds the work. It includes a relocated floating dock at Woodland Park and a kayak launch at Shoreline Park South. Both parks are part of the city's Blueways Plan, which the City Council and the Advisory Parks Board approved in January 2019. That July, Gulf Breeze joined the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail. Vista Park was part of the original grant but was later dropped as not feasible. The city's update doesn't give a finish date. Paddlers planning cooler-weather launches from Woodland this fall should expect active construction there.

Gulf Breeze changes a little more every year, and a lot of that change shows up on these weekends. If you'd like to talk through what this season's openings and park upgrades mean for your corner of the peninsula, Malinda Metzger is happy to help. Schedule Your Free Local Market Consultation.
